Welcome to the Barney Guild
The Barney Guild is a group of Barnard Castle businesses who meet regualarly to share best practice, improve the retail offer in Barnard Castle, work collectively on marketing campaigns and to ensure their views and opinions are recognised within the local community.

The Barney Guild is in strong support of two local projects:
The Barney Bag Campaign
The Barney Bag Campaign has two aims:
- Reduce the number of disposable bags distributed in Barnard Castle
- Promote Barnard Castle and all organisations/businesses who support the campaign.
Businesses have been asked to pledge their support to the campaign and will receive a certificate to confirm their involvement. A number of shops will be selling "My Barney Bag" in the New Year. If you want to get involved then contact Nadia Wetherell on 01833 696358.
